In a significant step towards promoting sustainable urban transportation, Bikeep, in partnership with A1 Srbija, has successfully installed free parking and charging stations for regular and electric bicycles and scooters across 12 key locations in Belgrade. These stations, which also serve as advertising spaces, offer an innovative solution to the challenges of urban mobility, combining convenience with environmental responsibility.
Bikeep's state-of-the-art stations are strategically placed in high-traffic urban areas such as Delta City, Ušće Shopping Center, and near the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering close to Vukov Spomenik. These locations ensure easy access for citizens and visitors alike, providing a seamless experience for those using personal electric vehicles (PEVs) as part of their daily commute. In addition to parking and charging, these stations also offer free access to A1's WiFi network, making it convenient for users to stay connected while their devices recharge.
This initiative is part of Bikeep's broader mission to nudge the world toward sustainable solutions and build healthier communities. By making it easier and more secure for people to park and charge their bicycles and scooters, Bikeep is contributing to a reduction in traffic congestion and air pollution—key issues in rapidly growing urban areas like Belgrade.
Bikeep's solution is designed to cater to a wide range of urban stakeholders. For municipalities, it offers a scalable, low-maintenance infrastructure that supports their sustainability goals. For businesses, the advertising spaces integrated into the stations provide an additional revenue stream, making the model economically viable. For citizens, it provides peace of mind through secure, accessible, and convenient parking options, encouraging more people to opt for eco-friendly modes of transport.
As cities worldwide face the dual challenges of urbanization and environmental sustainability, solutions like Bikeep are leading the way in transforming how we move and live in urban environments. By integrating technology with urban infrastructure, Bikeep is not just providing a service—it is creating a movement towards smarter, more sustainable cities.
