How do residents access the stations?

Residents scan a QR code or use the free Bikeep app — no registration required for pay-as-you-go. Cities can also issue RFID cards for subscriber programs or integrate with existing public transit cards.

How is this different from a bike-share scheme?

Bike-share provides the vehicle. Bikeep secures the vehicle residents already own. It costs 50-100x less per parking space than a bike-share scheme and tackles the real barrier to cycling: fear of theft at the destination.

What data does the city get?

The cloud dashboard provides real-time occupancy, daily/weekly/monthly usage trends, peak hours, session duration, and station-level demand. This data helps you plan new locations based on actual usage, not guesswork.

Can we start with a pilot in one neighbourhood?

Absolutely. Most cities start with 5-10 stations at high-demand locations like transit hubs, city centres, or parks. The platform supports scaling from a single pilot to a city-wide network — same dashboard, same infrastructure.

Can we combine hardware from different manufacturers?

Yes. Bikeep's platform is designed to unify different hardware providers into one network. Your cyclists get a single app experience regardless of which station they use, and your operators manage everything from one console.

Can we offer both free and paid parking?

Yes. The platform supports flexible pricing — free parking for the first two hours, daily rates, monthly subscriptions, or fully free public access. You can set different pricing per station or zone.

Why leading cities choose Bikeep.

The benefits that matter most to city planners and transport authorities.

Unified Network

One Console for Every Station

Bikeep's IoT platform enables cities to combine different bike parking hardware providers into a single, seamless digital experience. Manage every station — regardless of manufacturer — through one operator console.

One App for Every Cyclist

Your cyclists access everything through one app. No fragmented systems, no vendor lock-in, no confusing user journeys. Just a consistent experience at every station across the city.

One Network That Grows With You

Add new stations, new partners, and new neighbourhoods without rebuilding your digital infrastructure. One connected city-wide network that scales as your cycling ambitions grow.

Theft Prevention

Theft Erodes Trust in Cycling

Bike theft in public spaces doesn't just cost citizens money — it erodes trust in cycling infrastructure and keeps potential cyclists away from the bikes they already own.

Active Deterrent at Every Station

Bikeep's 4-layer security system actively deters criminal activity at every station across your network — steel locking bars, tamper alerts, CCTV integration, and cloud monitoring working together.

A City-Wide Signal That Cycling Is Safe

Consistent security at every location sends a clear, city-wide signal that cycling is safe, supported, and taken seriously by the authorities who manage it.

More Cyclists

The Real Barrier Isn't Hills or Weather

The single biggest barrier stopping people from cycling to work isn't hills or weather — it's the fear of returning to find their bike gone. Bikeep removes that risk entirely.

Secure Parking Converts New Cyclists

When commuters know their bike or e-scooter will be safe and waiting for them, choosing to cycle becomes a straightforward decision. Secure parking infrastructure doesn't just serve existing cyclists — it actively converts new ones.

Directly Drive Your Modal Shift Targets

Every new cyclist who switches from driving is a measurable win for your city's sustainability targets. Bikeep infrastructure directly contributes to modal shift by removing the single biggest trust barrier at the destination.

Bikeep's technology has brought a new level of innovation to Southend-on-Sea on how we enable and encourage cycling in the city. It's futuristic, user-friendly, and has elevated the standard of infrastructure we provide. The system has been remarkably dependable, due to having the whole technology platform under one provider.

FOR CITIES AND MUNICIPALITIES

Make Better Decisions With Real Data

Know exactly where cyclists go, how long they stay, which stations are underused and which are overwhelmed. Bikeep's data dashboards turn parking activity into urban planning intelligence. Collect cyclist feedback automatically, identify demand hotspots, and build evidence-based cases for future infrastructure investment — all from one place. When needed, communicate directly with cyclists through automated messaging.
