Each locker gets an RFID/NFC reader supporting MIFARE, HID, and LEGIC protocols. Users tap their card, transit card (Smartrip, Clipper, ORCA, and others), or scan a QR code with the Bikeep app. For simplified flow, Push-to-Start mode lets allowlisted cards unlock with a single tap. LED indicators and audio cues confirm access instantly — no keys to distribute, no combinations to reset.
What's in the Kit
Everything you need to convert up to 20 standard lockers into smart, connected units — pre-configured and ready to install.
Main Controller
The central brain of the system. Manages all connected Smart Units, handles internet connectivity via pre-installed global SIM card, and enables remote management. One per installation.
Smart Units
Installed in each locker. Controls the electronic lock, reads RFID/NFC cards, provides audio-visual feedback, and reports status to the Main Controller. Designed for low-power, reliable operation.
RFID/NFC Readers
Integrated into each Smart Unit. Supports 13.56 MHz protocols including MIFARE, HID, and LEGIC, plus NFC-enabled phones and transit cards. QR code printed on the housing for Bikeep app access. Audio and LED feedback for successful and failed authentication.
Electronic Locks
Secure, electronically-controlled locking mechanism with dual switch confirmation. Mechanical override for emergency access. Ultra-low power consumption for long-term reliability.
Power Supply & UPS
Industrial power supply (110–230 VAC to 24 VDC) with optional UPS backup to maintain operation during power outages. Optionally works with batteries and solar panels for off-grid installations. Keeps lockers accessible even when the grid goes down.
Camera (Optional)
Add visual monitoring and security verification. Integrates with the IoT Core and streams to the Bikeep Console. Useful for high-security deployments and incident investigation.

How It Works

Tap or Scan
Users walk up to a locker, tap their RFID card, or scan the QR code with the Bikeep app. The LED turns green and the lock opens.
Store and Lock
Place the bike inside, close the locker door. The system confirms the lock is engaged with an audio cue.
Retrieve Anytime
Return and authenticate again to unlock. Session duration is tracked automatically. Push notification confirms the session has ended.
