Southend-on-Sea Expands its Smart Bike-Parking Network
Earlier this spring, nine municipal bike rooms in Southend-on-Sea were upgraded with Bikeep's access-management platform — riders simply scan a QR code and choose a daily, weekly, or monthly pass. No keys, cards, or paperwork.
Following great feedback, the city retrofitted the final bike shelter with 4 doors at Victoria Plaza with Bikeep IoT hardware, giving each door individual smart control and full remote management.
Now, ten fully-connected bike rooms serve commuters, shoppers, and visitors — all backed by 4G connectivity, over-the-air updates, and flexible self-service subscriptions that make cycling the easy choice.
