A smart bike locker is a fully enclosed box for one or two bikes that opens with an app, RFID card or transit card instead of a key. Operators see occupancy and manage users remotely, which makes lockers the usual choice for long-stay parking at transit stations, offices and campuses.

Smart lockers or keyed lockers?
Keyed lockers are cheaper to buy but need someone to hand out keys, chase returns and replace lost ones. Smart lockers open with an app, an RFID card or a transit card, so access can be granted, timed and revoked remotely. Operators also see which lockers are in use, which keyed lockers cannot show.
Bike locker or bike parking station?
Lockers enclose the bike and suit long stays, bad weather and expensive e-bikes. Smart docks lock the bike in the open or under a canopy and suit shorter stays with more turnover. Most transit hubs and campuses use both, docks near the entrance and lockers for all-day parking.

Outdoor and commercial bike lockers
Every Bikeep locker is built for public and commercial sites, outdoors or in parking garages. They are managed from the same console as Bikeep docks, so one operator can run lockers and stations across many locations.
Bike lockers for transit stations
Transit agencies use smart lockers for park-and-ride, where riders leave a bike all day. Riders open a locker with the Bikeep app, and occupancy data helps plan where to add capacity.
